The harmonic minor is:

R, 1 2 b3, 4 5, b6, #7

C harmonic minor:

C, D, Eb, F, G, Ab, B natural

There's an interval of an augmented second (a minor third to your ear) or three semitones between notes six and seven.

Using that scale apply the scale degrees of the 7 modes.
Ionian would be the same as the scale.
Lydian would sharp the 4.
Mixolydian would flat the 7, etc. etc.
