It was a long time ago but here's some things I recall:
mostly variations on this for strength:
e--4-5------------------
b------4-5-------------
g-----------4-5----------
using my 3rd and 4th fingers only, in different positions, using various combinations of hammers, pull offs, trills or picking.
And cycling through chords that I found difficult like these for dexterity:
1 2 3 4 x x
4 3 2 1 x x
2 3 4 5 x x
5 4 3 2 x x
ect ect continuing further up the neck, start higher up if needed. (this is a Joe Satriani warm up routine)
And also changing fingerings on any other things I would play to include my 4th finger.
