Why does these notes sound....

Why does these selected notes sound good over the listed chords.

C major chord Notes that are played in ascending format G-F-E-D to C.

D minor chord Notes that are played in ascending format A-G-F-E to D.

E minor chord Notes that are played in ascending format B-A-G-F-E.

F major chord Notes that are played in ascending format C-B-A-G to F.

G major chord Notes that are played in ascending format D-C-B-A to G.

A minor chord Notes that are played in ascending format E-D-C-B to A.

B dim chord Notes that are played in ascending format F-E-D-C to B.

I even tried on the piano and sound dead on. I don't know what to say. I have the list for the descending scale format as well if you want me to post them I will.

As no one has jumped in, here is my two cents worth.
If the notes are within the same scale they will sound good.

Why does these selected notes sound good over the listed chords.

C major chord Notes that are played in ascending format G-F-E-D to C.

Here G-F-E-D-C are the notes from the 5th to the root. So they sound good together.

Same for all the rest. The few accidents - if they are passing notes you do not pick up the "outness" (if that is a word LOL) With the D run. The F gives it a minor b3, so it's cool.

The F run -- F major chord Notes that are played in ascending format C-B-A-G to F. Sounds good because your tonal center is the C major scale. What you have done here is just come back down the C major scale from the C octave or 8 to 7 to 6 to 5 to 4.

Back to the ole; "If it sounds good it is good". Figure out the rest..... that fish thing.

I just realize that all notes in this example are a fifth from each root. Thanks for helping me realize that.
