May 30 - I challenge you to beat me on Lv1-Ch1 of Complete Ear Trainer (Android). It's easy to find me, I'm first with 35648 points. Can you improve the score before 2016?

I'm not after a high score, I am practicing and transcribing to develop a good ear.

It's a test of a good ear (plus notation theory), what's wrong with that?

My ears don't need to be tested, I know I have bad ears.

You may notice that I am not updating this thread anymore. I am still practicing Perfect pitch with Prolobe and DiamondEarII softwares, but what I have been doing the most is practicing relative pitch. When it comes to relative pitch, I have given up using software to practice my ear and I have been training my ear with real music by transcribing and singing solfege. Another thing I have been doing is that I am singing the tune and then I play along with the chords that feel right without the aid of a chord chart. Sometimes I may check a chord chart if there is a chord that I can't figure out. Then it becomes part of my vocabulary.

The year 2015 was a memorable year for me. I don't want to see the year go, but I have to move on.

I like the number 15, so when the year 2015 started I decided that I will make it a good year. Here are a few highlights of the year 2015 for me Jason Sioco aka Blanche Minim.

*In 2015, I started composing again.

*I perfected my ear training practice regimen. I didn't bother sharing it here in ibreathemusic.

*I said hi to a festival of girls and complementing them. I went to Marineland and Mont Tremblant and it was a festival of girls with shorts.

*Lebron James failed to win a NBA championship.

*The Toronto Blue Jays had a magical run and ended their 22 year postseason drought.

*I found some dating websites, where there are plenty of blonde girls. I will be using that in a few years.

While many music experts believe that perfect pitch is something you have to be born with, it is possible to train the ear to more accurately gauge sounds through simple study and exercise.
