On/Off Key Question

Hello everyone

I am a guy and I like singing songs of both genders. I have a question about female songs.

I play female songs on keyboard and I sound on key, but when I sing female karaoke tracks on pc, I sound in unison with the backing vocals, because I purposely don't want to sound like a girl .

My question is that do I sound off key, when singing with female backing vocals in unison? Did you have any similar experience?

man just sing an octave lower, the backing may be in fifths/thirds and you are not off key but off melody.
