    Official (NOT) iBreatheMusic Favorite Guitarists

Rolling Stone could do it, why can't we? Let's have a leetle poll to see what the favorite guitarists are at iBreatheMusic. I'll tally the results after a week of voting, and then I'll post them. Give me however many guitarists you want. I'll post the list with the top 100. As far as criteria, how about lets just do favorites? So you may have less technically proficient guitarists above more technically proficient guitarists and that's OK.

As far as formatting your lists of guitarists, it would help me out if you'd number your list. That'll make it easier for me to do the programming in Excel, which I'll let do calculations for me. It would also help me out if you'd use spelling conventions used by those who posted prior to you in this thread, so that I won't have to change all the different spellings of the same guitarist to the same spelling, so that Excel will understand they're the same. And if you change your mind before the voting ends, it'd be easiest for me if you'd just go back and edit your original post instead of modifying your list in a second post.

Hope this is not too Harmony-centralish to all you guys. Its just for jollies.

So unless you hear different later, I'll tally the votes and post the results on Wednesday, 9/17, in the evening (USA time).

    Here's my guys:

    1 SRV
    2 Buddy Guy
    3 Angus Young
    4 Jimmy Page
    5 Jonny Lang
    6 David Gilmour
    7 Walter Trout
    8 EVH
    9 Hendrix
    10 Randy Rhoads
    11 Brian May

Edit: Added request to number list (after metaljustice already posted ), and numbered my list.
2nd edit: Forgot about Brian May

Now that I see shredfan's list with ties, I realize that the programming in Excel will be easier for me if you go ahead and number your list. So do that pleeze. And ties are fine.

    wow

Another great guitarist here at Ibreathe.

Are you the Luis Moreno that released the "just in time" cd?
If you are, very cool, and you are a great player.

How is the scene over there in Portugal?

I know of a few names like you, Goncalo Pereire, Carlos Matos, and some well known bands like Moonspell, and Sirius.
