Ok, here's another lick. this time this one's for the neoclassical pickers in the forums... notice the implied Gm-Ebm-Bb-D7add b9...the last part has some wild streches, but it can be played...

Edit: Ooops, i forgot to paste the lick....sorry, guys!! Here it is...

O.k., heres a stringskipping arpeggio idea I stole from Steve Vai.

He used to play this little arp figure in one of his songs called "Little Green Men". I think it originated from the Si-Fi movie "Strange Encounters Of The Third Kind"...

Anyway, I really liked the sound of it a lot and tried to figure out a way to play it a little faster and I came up with this stringskipping pattern.

Once you get the first basic pattern done its easy to connect them using slides (like you can see in the tab).

The example is a little melody I came up with using this technique. The chord progression is Amaj-Dmaj-Cmaj-Fmaj-Dmaj-Gmaj-Fmaj-Amaj...very simple.

Of course you can change the pattern to minor. Simply flatten the second note a half step.

    I use a 1-3-4 fingering for this.

    Hope you like it!

    Here's a riff from me.
It's basically a D5 and Bb5 power chords with little runs here and there.
It's good to use for as a break before or after your blazing solos!

The powertab file might be a liltle bit wrong in terms of tempo and note lenght,
I'm not good with PowerTab but you get the idea. If someone can repair it for me, that would be great.

Nice. I really like that riff, JailHouseRock. Not too hard, not overly simple -- that's the best kind.

I'm not very good with PowerTab either. Good enough for me, man!
