    No man I want to learn counterpoint to use in composition, yesterday I foud a great site that has an online course on harmony, counterpoint and fugue the only problem for most people here its that it ain´t in english. but check it out anyway.. apparently its really good.

    The following site is really interesting. It explains counterpoint (first and second species) in the context of cantus firmus, so you'll have to bounce between the definitions of cantus firmus and counterpoint. But...it's a great read.
