    Practicing in front of the T.V.

    Just curious to see how many people practice in front of the T.V.?

    I used to watch cartoons and try to play the music on them. Even better was the 30-60 second comercials in between. Talk about great ear training!!!

    Yeah, you could do like buckethead and watch old horror movies on mute and try to come up with your own soundtrack.

    TV is great to break in.....

    .... a new strum.

    Mute the strings and strum the new pattern while watching TV. You get into the program and forget about what you are doing and then 10 minutes later you realize you are still strumming. Muscle memory takes over and the new strum is a little easier next time you call on it.
