That track was great! Cool idea to "minorize" and otherwise "sinister-ize" the melody.
LOL, "Sinisterize", yeah. I like that word. It did end up giving it a bit of menace.
It was actually quite a good example of how I play by ear sometimes. Nothing complex of course, but I recorded the bass and the first guitar part and then I was thinking about trying to get the Happy birthday theme in there.
Suddenly I could hear it in my head, I worked on it a bit on the guitar and it came out like that. The key I thought was as long as I got that "Happy Birthday" rhythm right it would come across and be recognisable.

...must get on with "Strickly Aeolian/Harmonic".
By meditating on G# for this length of time I have learnt much about it, bit of Vai's mentality in there. Play the note in many different ways, use different vibratos different rhythms etc.
In this way I am able to actually stretch the length of any given day into a time suitable to meditation. I hum G# while I am away from the guitar, I can now hear it wherever I go.
I shall be moving onto Ab next...
