Hey, I've been trying to use the whole tone scale in my playing and improvisations. I know the scale fits very well with a +7 chord. I just don't know how I would use these chords. It doesn't seem like they fit anywhere. Some help please?
thanks

You can use them in place of any V7 chord.
Especially in minor keys beacause they are diatonic then. So try G7(#5) -> Cm7 (Or better, Cm-maj7) and play the whole tone scale over the G7(#5).
Stop talking about modes and start working on your groove.
I commonly use 7+ chords/whole tone in place of the V of a harmonic minor scale and the V of Melodic Minor. A thing I like to do is Arpeggiate the Chord and then lead it into the whole tone. That way it makes a smoother transaction from whatever scale you're playing to whole tone. Hope that helps.
