Harmony in this tune...

Hi all,

I have been trying to transcribe this song. It's a "latinesque" tune from a video game which I played when I was a lot younger.

I have figured out the melody and I believe, it's in E phryigan.

Having figured out the melody I have been trying to work out what is going on in the harmony but I can't seem to make sense of it. I have tried all possible chords that go with phriyigan and they don't seem to work.

After listening to it a few times, it sounds like single notes(triplets) or stacked notes but certainly not chords.

Got any ideas ? Thanks, Chib
