In time, you might want to look for other ways to demonstrate your pitch identification skills. We could easily say you rehearsed your test, since you recorded the test yourself beforehand.

On your website you mentioned being a pianist and I therefore assume you already possess some skills to play by ear, even if to a minimum.

How much of what you have demonstrated is done in combination with RP?

Also, how will the results of using your perfect pitch guide end up for someone who does not have much relative pitch development?

Peace,
Elcon

Hey Elcon, I will make another video. I want you guys to be convinced I do this without relative pitch or memorizing notes.

There is no RP that I use in the video. I hear all the notes using Perfect Pitch. That is, I hear the unique sound of every pitch to identify everything in the video.

The result? You will hear chords and recognize them as well as notes on different instruments. Relative pitch can do this too of course, but I still find hearing with perfect pitch as another tool to get a more complete musical perception.

Hey guys, I updated the video, now there should be no doubt that I am using perfect pitch and not memorizing notes or using relative pitch.

I've seen a lot of perfect pitch threads on this forum, so if you want to learn this ability, I can help. It's hard to get the word out. If you have any questions, I will gladly answer them.

Amin

It's still inconclusive to me.

theres nothing to prove it wasn't memorized or relative pitch was used.

IMO you need to be identifying, by name, notes played by an impartial person on an instrument you cant see with no reference pitches ( ie you haven't worked out the air con hums at G# with your pitch pipe beforehand )

Still, i have no idea why i'm replying, like most people on this site I think PP is little more than a party trick
