Odd Bass Questions HELP PLEASE

I am hitting a standstill in my daily practice, and I am hoping (Praying, more) that one of you can help. I play bass with a severe lack of skill, but my theory knowledge is adequate. My question, however, is this: Where can I find some Jam-tracks in order to hear what my music sounds like with a melody? I play all right, but I only get the chance to play with others once a week, so my daily practice is all me alone... For a harmony instrument, not good. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hi Ersatz,

Maybe you wanna check out some of the play-along books and record yourself together with the band. That's what I did for quite some time. I don't know what style you are looking into but Jamey Abershold play-along books are pretty good. Have a look at http://www.jazzbooks.com/scripts/search.asp?category=27
