Beautiful Guitar Instrumentals

My dad has really taken a liking to songs like Steve Vai's "Lotus Feet" and Joe Satriani's "Always With Me, Always With You," etc... Can you guys name off as many songs as you can that are very sweet, melody based guitar instrumentals. Im planning on making him a CD.

Nadia - Jeff Beck (Off his You Had It Coming album)
Backbird off the same album.

It's a little different but the guitar is soooooo sweeeeeet sounding.

I think everyone has already grabbed my thoughts in there previous lists, actually listen to some more of the album and pick your best favourites

Suspension is the other nice melodic one.

I'd just like to add "Where Were You" by Jeff Beck on his Guitar Shop album. Very passionate instrumental...ranks up there with "Cause We've Ended As Lovers".

Lanterna

There is this band called Lanterna, they play instrumental guitar music. Their guitar parts are very dark and dreamy. They use a lot of delay, reverb and many layers of guitar parts to create very atmospheric and interesting melodic soundscapes. Picture a darker instrumental U2 with two 'Edge's' on guitar.

Perfect music for night driving

Wanna relax? Try Andreas Vollenweider. A harpist who creates lush sonic landscapes. Recommended album: Behind The Garden.

Also - firehose: Walking The Cow
