The new real book's 1-3 would give you a good start into jazz-standards, and I would advice you to listen to recordings of the standards that you are working on. Develop your chord vocabulary and comping with a these real books. Also learn the melody lines. Aebersolds guide to playing jazz is great with a lot of information. Practicing improvisation along with the Aebersold's series with cd's are also a good way to learn how to improvise.

There are many aspects of jazz that could be interesting to play. I don't know your interests. Would you focus on comping, improvisation with a band or solo guitar playing. Recomendations depends a little on your interest.

Comping with easy chords ---- Click here You can find the lyrics to most of these using a Google search with key words -- lyrics, name of the song.

Pick one you know the tune to and then work on getting your rhythm down, remember in jazz comping, sometime less is more, as the sax or piano will be the lead solo instrument.

As gersdal said, Aebersold and www.jazzbooks.com will give you a host of information for your journey into jazz.

Nothing about "Someone to Watch Over Me" or "Cry Me a River"? An outrage!

Hahaha!
