Standard Thing The following is an excerpt from Bret's book entitled Mel Bay's Complete Book of Harmonic Extensions for Guitar". The book includes Tab and a play-along CD with over 60 different harmonic examples. The chord progression used here is derived from a very common "standard" tune ("All the Things You Are", G.R.). The example illustrates three-note voicings using only the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strings. Many of the voicings contain a minor second interval.
